The top 50 movies aren’t ranked, they’re just grouped by how I re-watched them during the beginning of the pandemic. They are all part of my top 50 based on the cultural phenomenon, the impact they made in my (and others') life, also originality, and acting. Different eras, ages, and tastes in film would cause vastly different lists. I am a product of growing up in the ’80s and favor many from the era. They may not be the best movies, but they’re the ones I will watch every time they come on.

Silence of the Lambs- Great acting. The best horror and suspense, maybe ever. Top 5 all-timer for me. Hannibal the cannibal is a brilliant psychopathic psychiatrist who aids the FBI’s rookie agent, Clarice Starling, in search of a current serial killer, Buffalo Bill.

Tombstone — Based on a historical 30-second gunfight in Arizona circa 1881. This is the best western of the decade. Val Kilmer’s interpretation of Doc Holliday is legendary. I’m your Huckleberry.

Breakfast Club- Has one of the most recognizable songs in movie history. The teen angst is still relatable, and this captures the voice of 80’s teenagers better than any other film.

Rocky — Everyone loves this underdog. Great writing, and sequels still coming out today…
