Regular Wellness Checks To Do On Your Own:
Blood Pressure check
Oxygen level check
Drink water
Wash your hands and avoid people who are sick.
Have, or if you don’t already have one, find a good primary care physician.
Make your yearly medical appointments and stick with them, just like you do your family visits. They’re just as important. You may not have family visits anymore if you don’t take care of yourself.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Know your Body Mass Index. (weight divided by height) Aim to be between 18% — 24%.
Obstetrician/ Gynecologist
Do self-testicular and breast checks.
Do self-skin checks for moles, discolored areas, skin tags, etc. Don’t go in tanning beds and use sunblock.
Don’t smoke or use tobacco products.
Don’t use drugs. If you use it regularly, find out what’s causing your emptiness. Ask yourself what you are trying to escape from. What is the source of your pain? Drugs can’t make it better.
Drink alcohol in moderation, if at all.
